Our employee series #ADayintheLife explores the stories behind Allianz Asia team members across the region. Here, Allianz Ayudhya Senior Risk Management Analyst Todsapol Songsithichoke shares his experience:
I’m currently on assignment in the Risk department with the regional Asia headquarters. Back in Allianz Ayudhya, I’m a Senior Analyst with the Risk Management Department. I have been with the company for a little over three years now.
A typical day for me resembles the waves and tides. I’m required to be mobile, attending meetings and liaising with colleagues across all 13 floors. The work I perform on a day to day basis protects our company and customers from financial risk.
Allianz has supported me a lot in my career learning and development journey. My managers empower me to make my own decisions and to have a say in my own career growth. I joined the ‘Millennial Expedition Program’ back in 2017 and this program has given new perspective to my job.
As part of the program, I’m able to go on job rotations across Asia and gain valuable exposure to how our business operations are being run in different markets. Meeting new colleagues from other countries also allows us to exchange best practices and refine our own work processes.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learnt over the years is to speak up and be accountable for your own development. If there’s something you strongly believe in and would like to take up, openly expressing your interest is the first giant step towards your goal.
Allianz is an amazing company with rich history, great track record and strong global brand appeal. There’s a lot of opportunity available for Millennials like myself to explore.
The last three years with Allianz have been fruitful for my career growth as I’ve been able to constantly challenge myself in my former role in Thailand and now at the regional office. I’m grateful to my colleagues and managers for their constant support and belief, this creates a conducive environment for me to step out of my comfort zone and explore new challenges. There is still so much to learn but I’m grateful for the trust they have bestowed upon me and the opportunities I’ve been afforded with.
