Allianz Launches Innovative Replay Tool at this Year’s Allianz Junior Football Camp Asia

  • Allianz Amateur Replay is the first ever automated recording of live goals and its replay in a smartphone
  • 50 teenagers selected from 6 Asian countries – China, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand & Taiwan for training with FC Bayern Munich trainers

Bali/ Singapore, 22nd July 2016 -- Allianz Junior Football Camp returns to Asia for the fourth consecutive year, this time in Bali, Indonesia. This is Allianz’s annual event dedicated to youth development and a core part of the company’s long-term partnership with leading German football club Bayern Munich.

A highlight of this year’s Asia camp is the launch of Allianz Amateur Replay , an award-winning mobile app developed by Allianz. The app is the first-ever automated recording system for novice footballers, allowing them to capture their goals and replay it on a smartphone for easy sharing on social media. This application won the Silver Lion award in the mobile category at this year’s Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

“We’re excited to launch Allianz Amateur Replay at this camp, where the coaches and participants will be the first to use this innovation. Besides providing a comprehensive analysis of their game and goals, the teens will also be able to share it immediately with their family and friends back home,” said Paul Groves, Head of Market Management, Asia Pacific.

The annual camp involves a four-day football training programme on fitness workshops, footwork techniques and tactical skills by trainers from FC Bayern Munich, which will help participants take their game to the next level. This year, 50 teenagers between the ages of 14 and 16 were selected from pre-trials from over 8000 football aspirants across the region. They will have an exclusive opportunity to train with Bayern Munich youth coach Maximilian Knauer and former star striker Giovane Elber.

“The Allianz Junior Football Camp Asia is one of our strongest youth development programs in the region, and reinforces the values we stand by at Allianz – team work, discipline and fair play,” added Groves.

From the Asia camp, 14 teenagers will be selected to represent Asia in the global camp held in Munich this August.
