Allianz Named Sponsor and Insurance Partner for the Asian Para Games 2018

  • Singapore, 2nd October 2018 -- Allianz have today announced an agreement to become the official prestige sponsor and insurance partner for the Asian Para Games 2018 in Indonesia this month.

  • This partnership underlines Allianz’s ambition to use the power of sport to connect with new audiences and enables Allianz to share its expertise in protection solutions with the next generation of insurance customers from Asia.

  • As part of the agreement, Allianz Indonesia will provide health and liability insurance for the duration of the Games, including protecting more than 19,000 athletes, officials and volunteers during their month long stay in October.  Allianz will also provide third party liability insurance covering sports events in 19 venues, and throughout the opening and closing ceremonies.

  • Allianz and the Indonesian Asian Para Games Organizing Committee announced the partnership today at an event in Jakarta, Indonesia.

  • Today’s announcement meets Allianz’s commitment to further support the development of sports in the region, and follows Allianz’s recent agreement with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to become part of its ‘Worldwide Olympic Partner’ programme from 2021.

  • The Asia Para Games is a multisport event held every four years for athletes with physical disabilities from 42 countries across the region.  The event will take place next month from 6-13 October in Jakarta, Indonesia.
