The Allianz Group, one of the world's leading insurers and asset managers, today announced the completion of the sale of Allianz Life Insurance Lanka Limited to Softlogic Life Insurance PLC upon receipt of regulatory approval from the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka.
Following the completion, Allianz Life Insurance Lanka Limited will soon change its name and operate as SL Insurance Lanka Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Softlogic Life Insurance PLC.
This transaction does not impact the ownership or operations of Allianz’s general insurance business in Sri Lanka. Allianz Insurance Lanka Limited remains a wholly owned subsidiary of Allianz and will continue to operate as one of the most reputable general insurance providers in the country.
