William Liang appointed Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Jingdong General Insurance on September 1, 2021.
Effective September 1, 2021, William Liang has been officially appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Allianz Jingdong General Insurance (AZJD) upon receiving regulatory approval.
William joined Allianz in 2015 as the Head of Technical Department and was later appointed as the Chief Actuary in 2018. He went on to take additional responsibilities as the Chief Risk Officer from April 2020. Over the years, William has helped the company build technical capabilities in the areas of risk management, actuarial and reinsurance through close collaboration with Allianz and Jingdong. He has also played a key role in bridging communication and translating technical excellence into sustainable business success.
William is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia. He studied Actuarial Science in Macquarie University and holds an MBA degree from The Australian Graduate School of Management. He started his career in insurance consulting with Deloitte and Ernst & Young (EY). Before joining Allianz, William served as a director of EY Actuarial Advisory Services in Singapore.
