- The MoveNow Mentoring Program, partnering with Halogen and Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC), has enabled 2024’s cohort of mentees to transform, strengthen their skills and gain the confidence to forge ahead to confidently transition from academic life to their professional careers.
Allianz Asia Pacific recently celebrated the first batch of mentees who completed a six-month transformative journey through its inaugural MoveNow Mentoring Program which commenced in January this year.
The MoveNow mentoring program, reinforces Allianz’s dedication to its sustainability agenda by nurturing and equipping the next generation of youth and para-athletes in Singapore with the essential skills, the right mindset, confidence, industry knowledge and networks as they pivot from tertiary education to the professional workforce.
This initiative has not only helped to enrich the perspectives of participants on both sides but has also inspired these youths and para-athletes to one day become mentors themselves as they leverage what they have learnt to navigate and thrive in their own careers.
Christian Sandric, Regional Managing Director, Allianz Commercial, Asia, Halogen, and Singapore Disability Sports Council, together with the senior leadership team across Allianz entities in Singapore formally marked the conclusion of the MoveNow Mentoring Program in a meaningful closing ceremony which featured a certificate presentation ceremony to mentees who successfully completed the six-month mentoring program.
Christian Sandric, Regional Managing Director, Allianz Commercial, Asia, said, “At Allianz, we are deeply committed to supporting and guiding our youth and para-athletes towards a brighter future through the MoveNow Mentoring Program. This initiative demonstrates our commitment in empowering our mentees with the essential skillset and insights required to kick start their professional careers, and instilling in them the confidence and resilience to navigate towards a bright future ahead. With this success, we will continue the MoveNow Mentoring program in 2025 as part of our Sustainability agenda, creating a positive social impact in the community.”
Kelly Fan, Executive Director, Singapore Disability Sports Council, added, “The MoveNow Mentoring Program 2024 Closing Ceremony marks a significant milestone in our journey with Allianz. From its inception to the completion of its inaugural run, we have witnessed firsthand the remarkable growth of our athletes, supported by the patience and generous guidance of thought leaders and stellar employees at Allianz. As we close this chapter and look forward to a second run, we will build on this foundation to foster inclusivity and unlock the potential of more young athletes with disabilities.”
Ivy Tse, Chief Executive Officer, Halogen, quotes,” We’re really grateful that the Allianz mentors have stepped forward to be a part of Halogen’s work in supporting our young people through their personal discoveries and career navigation.
